NAME: Ashley
CONTACT: PMs.
kabunevermind ashriel#6058 on discord.
ACTIVE TIMES/PACE: Varying. I'll be a lil slow because of mod things, but I do hope to keep up as much as I can!
BRACKETS/PROSE: Brackets, please!
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: I do not want to thread anything about sexual harassment and sexual assault/rape. In terms of things I can/will thread about but will need a heads up and some warnings for, suicide and fingore, though please do not get too detailed with the second!

IN CHARACTER
PHYSICAL AFFECTION: He'll be very surprised but he may reciprocate! He may also freeze up and be very confused and skittish like a small squirrel.
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Uhhh well he may not win but Hodaka is incredibly scrappy and will come to blows if necessary. Please do let me know first but fights aren't off-limits.
RELATIONSHIPS: He is pretty damn committed to a girl but it's complicated. If you'd be willing to accept him being positively in love with Hina, I'm open to anything, with development.
PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: N/A
MAGICAL INFORMATION: Nah, this boy's normal.
MEDICAL INFORMATION: Hodaka's a little roughed up. He has cuts and bruises on his face and arms, and in general it's kind of obvious to see he's underweight.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: All of these are both things that may come up in threads with Hodaka and things Hodaka himself would find offensive.
HOMELESSNESS: Okay so you'd have to bring it up? But Hodaka's a runaway. That much will be obvious from both his profile and some of the ways he acts (being surprised about free food, a skittish and miserly attitude towards spending, etc.) — and he's not very subtle. If someone else doesn't confront him about these things or outright ask, he certainly isn't going to volunteer information, so it's easy to dodge.
CHILD ABUSE: It's not clear how long it's been for, but Hodaka's father is physically abusive towards him. Thankfully this is incredibly easy to avoid because kid flat out refuses to talk about it. It may be alluded to in narration, though, so I will be sure to mark it, and if you'd rather I avoid that let me know!
NATURAL DISASTERS: I err more on the side of "Weathering With You is part fantasy" but comparisons can be made to natural disasters, climate change, and climate-related disasters. Hodaka will mention the fact that it is barely ever sunny in Tokyo, and potential talk of flooding.
HUMAN SACRIFICE: Hodaka is also bound to talk about Hina, and her whole deal is really upsetting. Like sacrifice a teenager for the sake of everyone else kind of upsetting. The way it's referred to is human sacrifice so! That's what he'll say!
If you're not into any of that, please let me know! All comments are screened.

OUT OF CHARACTER
BACKTAGGING: I am pretty committed to these! I'm gonna try and let things go after 2 to 3 weeks at most.
THREADHOPPING: In meetings/parties/trials mostly, but ask if you wanna jump into another thread!
FOURTHWALLING: No thank you!
NOT INTERESTED IN: Related to my natural disasters section I'm not really interested in discussing the events of Weathering With You as a one-to-one on climate change! It's more fantasy-esque and if anything is influenced by Japanese spirits and deities.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
VISUAL: Hodaka's a simple kind of kid. He likes jeans and a t-shirt, especially one that's a little too big for him. He stands at 5'5" and is rather scrawny, but with good leg and arm muscles. He has somewhat of a tan (at least compared to most people in Tokyo) from island living. His clothing tends to be a little worn out, or at least well-worn. He also has visible scrapes and cuts over his arms and face.
AURAL: I pull from both the Japanese and English language versions of Weathering With You! In Japanese, Hodaka is voiced by Kotaro Daigo and sounds like this. Please excuse my son, he's sixteen and an idiot and here's a cringe compilation. In English, he's voiced by Brandon Engman and sounds a little like this. With both he's more of a soft-spoken, middle octave kind of boy than anything.
OLFACTORY: Like sweat, and rain.
DEMEANOUR: This boy is awkward and unassuming. He's got the aura of a guy who by the end of the night someone in the room is gonna punch...but maybe he'll punch back. He subscribes to the Be Polite To Those Older Than You way of thinking most of the time, and you'll definitely hear that in his sentence structure if you speak Japanese. He defaults to honorifics in most conversations. However, if you're notably an adult or authority figure, he may be pretty distant and stingy. He's a little iffy on grown ups right now!
